Men have a way of not being able to argue or struggle with what is above and beyond them.
A Yoruba adage says: Òṣùpá lé téńté, ó ní kò lé dáadáa; t’ọwọ́ rẹ bá tó o, lọ rèé tún un ṣe! (The moon appears elegantly in the sky and you are complaining that it is not well placed; you can go and adjust it if your hand can reach where it is!)
“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with POWER FROM ON HIGH.” Luke 24:49 (KJV) [Emphasis added]
Power confers the ability or capacity to do. Power on earth (below) is equal and opposite!
Within the same automobile is power to accelerate and power to decelerate (brake). In my driving experience, I had mistakenly pressed the two pedals (accelerator and brake pedals) at the same time! The car roared, showing a release or presence of power to move forward but the brakes held it back! The brakes did not allow the car to surge with the required force! This is what happens when a man depends on power from below alone!
Surely, there is power below but another power from below can challenge, curtail, control, and confine your power from below!
Men who prevailed in their days did not run on the energy from below; they tarried, prayed, and held on until they secured and were endued with the power from on high!
There is favour from below but another man can also have favour to frustrate your favour. You cannot depend on a favour from below to scale the utmost height; you need a favour from above that cannot be challenged or frustrated.
