BELIEVERS’ RETREAT 2022: BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE

CRITICAL COMPONENTS OF REDEMPTIVE WORK

Take, in the context of our theme, means to accept, have, acquire, get, adopt, take over, take up or welcome. Taking something should not involve price, pain, struggle or fight.

Last year December, God came to us and commanded us to ask Him for nations:

“What do you want? Name it: Nations as a present? continents as a prize? You can command them all to dance for you, or throw them out with tomorrow’s trash.” Psalms 2:8,9 (The Message)

“Ask me to give you the nations and I will do it, and they shall become your legacy. Your domain will stretch to the ends of the earth.
And you will shepherd them with unlimited authority, crushing their rebellion as an iron rod smashes jars of clay.”
Psalms 2:8,9 (TPT)

God, in His response, has offered us the nations we requested. It is now our responsibility to take, accept, have, acquire, get, adopt, take over, take up and welcome the nations He has given us. We need to add that we do not have all the time to do this.

Tradition prevented Peter from accepting the offer, God graciously brought to him. For the brethren praying for the release of Peter, unbelief would have made them throw Peter away, except for the insistence of Rhoda. But Ananias had faith, trusted in God and was open-hearted; he took Paul for the Church!
We are seated together, again, to study the Word of God, so that we will not repeat the error of Peter and Joshua.

THE APPROACH OF GOD FOR THE REPROACH OF THE WORLD (Luke 24:46-49)

In the above passage, Jesus laid out six critical components of the redemptive plan and work of God for
Man…
